LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - La Crosse Police are called to the 1900 Block of Sunset Lane late Thursday night for what sources tell News 19 is a possible shooting that left two people injured.

An officer at the scene says more information will be released later Friday morning.  What we do know at this point is that the incident happened shortly after 11 p.m. near the intersection of Sunset Lane and Sunny Slope Road.  Numerous officers from the La Crosse Police Department responded, as well as the La Crosse Fire Department and Tri-State paramedics.  At least two people on gurneys were loaded into two ambulances which then left the scene.

Investigators spent several hours at the scene examining evidence, which included a short barrelled rifle and shell casings.
