
LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW) - A jury is now set to hear opening arguments Wednesday morning in the case of a La Crosse woman accused in a fatal hit and run death New Year's Eve.
Rhonda Boardman is charged with killing William Harter as he walked down Clinton Street December 31st. Witnesses say that Boardman was driving a van that struck Harter, then drove off. Boardman was arrested in late January.
Seven women and six men were chosen Monday during jury selection at the La Crosse County Courthouse courtroom of Judge Scott Horne. All 13 will hear the trial, but one alternate will be randomly excused before deliberations.
The trial is scheduled to take up to three days.
