LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW) On 6/17/09 at 6:36 p.m. La Crosse Police Investigator Rick Pfennig apprehended Michael St. Sauver who was wanted in connection with the armed robbery of the Check Mate Cash Advance which occurred on 6/16/09. Investigator Pfennig had phone contact with St. Sauver and convinced St. Sauver to turn himself in. Michael St. Sauver was arrested without incident when he turned himself in to Investigator Pfennig near the Town of Campbell Police Department. Michael St. Sauver will be held at the La Crosse County jail on charges of Party to the Crime of Armed Robbery. Chief Kondracki stated; "This is an excellent example of the police and the community working together. Without the assistance from witnesses who were willing to get involved and the hard work and dedication of the men and women of the La Crosse Police Department these types of crimes are difficult to solve."
