
LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) The University of Wisconsin La Crosse has been chosen to receive funding under the Ronald E. McNair Post- Baccalaureate Acheivement Program.
The grant of $219,964 is given to provide assistance to low- income, first generation students persuing doctoral study programs.
UW- L will use the money to provide eligible students a stipend and free room and board during a faculty mentored undergraduate research program conducted each summer. The grant will help 13 juniors and 13 seniors each year.
