Flu shot clinics planned

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Franciscan Skemp Healthcare is offering several seasonal flu shot clinics in the area.

They recommend flu shots for the following people:

Children ages 6 months up to their 19th birthday

1       Pregnant women
2       People 50 years of age and older
3       People of any age with certain chronic medical conditions
4       People who live in nursing homes or other long-term care facilities
5       People who live with or care for those at high risk for complications from flu, including:

  • Healthcare workers

1       Household contacts of persons at high risk of complications from the flu
2       Household contacts and out of home caregivers of children less than 6 months of age (these children are too young to be vaccinated).

The clinics are at the following locations and times:

La Crosse Campus
Professional Arts Building Gym, Ferry Street Entrance
(Parking: Lot on corner of 10th and Ferry)
Open to all, no appointment necessary
7am - 7pm
Wednesday, October 21
Wednesday, November 4
Cash and carry, insurance will be filed
