Expect plenty of traffic this weekend

Posted:

MADISON, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Department of Transportation is predicting a busy weekend as travelers head to a couple of big football games or to take in the fall colors.

They are expecting a number of vehicles headed to and from Minneapolis for the Badger/Gopher game on Saturday and the Packer/Viking game on Monday.

Work zones are the most likely point of delays for drivers.  The two in our area include:

  • I-90/94 between Tomah and Camp Douglas: No weekend lane restrictions but Monday, and each week night, traffic will be reduced to a single lane from 7 p.m. until 10 a.m.
  • I-94 from Tomah to Black River Falls: No weekend lane restrictions, but starting Monday at 6 a.m. traffic will be reduced to a single lane. Lane restriction will last until 10 a.m. Friday.
