SPARTA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Two teens are injured in a one car accident Sunday morning in the Township of Little Falls.
According to Sgt. Scott Perkins of the Monroe County Sheriff's Department, 17-year-old Martha Wilms of Sparta and her passenger, 19-year-old Ellyn Herman of Sparta, were southbound on Highway 27 around 1:30am.
Perkins says Wilms went onto the shoulder of the road. She over-corrected, crossed the road, then drove into a ditch, hitting several trees.
Wilms was taken by Med-Link helicopter to Gundersen-Lutheran Medical Center in La Crosse with possible life threatening injuries.
Herman was taken to Franciscan-Skemp Hospital in Sparta with non-life threatening injuries.
Perkins says the accident is still under investigation by the Sheriff's Department.
