UNION GROVE, Wis. (AP) - Family and friends of Army Spc. Kevin Graham are remembering the fallen Kenosha County soldier as a hero.
The 27-year-old was killed last month in Afghanistan when his vehicle hit a roadside bomb.
Graham lived in Salem in Kenosha County since 1991, then moved to Fairdealing, Ky., four years ago.
At a service in Union Grove on Sunday, hundreds of people paid their respects.
Tristan Miller of Salem was 1 of Graham's best friends. He says Graham enlisted because he wanted to take a stand for his country.
The Rev. Colson Leach says Graham was known in the church as "Military Kevin" because everyone knew he was going to be a soldier.
Graham was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 5th Stryker Brigade Combat Team based in Fort Lewis, Wash.
