Trempealeau County plans flu shot clinics

Whitehall, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The Trempealeau County Health Department announces a series of H1N1 vaccination clinics.  The clinics are dependent up on the availability of the vaccine supply.

Here are the dates and requirements of the clinics:

  • Per State guidelines, only persons in these most-at-risk target groups are eligible to receive vaccine at this time due to limited supply:
    • Pregnant women
    • Persons who live with or provide care for infants age 6 months or younger
      • (examples: parents, siblings, daycare providers)
    • Health care and emergency medical services personnel who have direct contact with patients
    • Children aged 6 months - 4 years of age
    • Children 5 - 18 years of age who have asthma or diabetes, or other chronic medical conditions that put them at higher risk for influenza-related complications.
  • Persons in the target groups may attend any clinic location, regardless of place of residence
  • Scheduled clinics are subject to change - dependent on vaccine supply
  • Clinics will remain open only while vaccine supplies last
  • H1N1 vaccine is free
