SPARTA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A Cashton man suffers only minor injuries when he rolls his car while trying to avoid a deer Thursday evening.
Monroe County Sheriff Dennis Pedersen says 53-year-old David Kuschel was driving on Market Road shortly after 7pm. Kuschel says he had to swerve to avoid a deer on the road. When he did so, his car went into a ditch and rolled on its top. Kuschel was able to walk away from the scene and to a Melvina home. Pedersen says Kuschel was not wearing his seatbelt when the crash took place.
The accident is still under invetigation by the Sheriff's Department.
