
LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The teen who fell from a moving truck Saturday morning in Winona has died.
The 15-year-old Minnesota City girl was at Gundersen Lutheran Medical Center after being airlifted from Winona following the incident. She passed away at 630pm Sunday evening according to Winona Police Chief Paul Bostrack.
Winona Police are still trying to determine whether the girl fell or jumped out of the moving truck at the intersection of Broadway and Winona Streets about 5am Saturday. Chief Bostrack says at this time, it appears to be an accident. Investigators have not found anything suspicious about the incident.
The driver of the truck, identified as a 46-year-old Winona man, is not facing any criminal charges according to police.
The case is being passed to the county's medical examiner.
