LA CROSSE, WISCONSIN (WXOW)- La Crosse Mayor Matt Harter listed his top priorities for 2010: 1. High-speed rail route
2. Keep property taxes down
3. Downtown revitalization
Harter wants to make sure high-speed rail comes through La Crosse.
He says that will enhance transportation for La Crosse residents.
The Mayor also wants to make sure he holds property taxes down in 2010 and says downtown revitalization is a priority.
"Whether they be residential or commercial, we'll do whatever we can to fill those spaces and to make sure the property base is sustained in the downtown area and our commercial and residential spaces see growth and we generally revitalize our downtown area, " said Mayor Matt Harter.
The Mayor says as he goes through the budget, he is confident in he will be able to create efficiencies in 2010.
