Juneau County investigating accidental shooting death

KILDARE, Wis. (AP) - Authorities in central Wisconsin say a 66-year-old woman has died from an accidental gunshot wound.

Juneau County Sheriff Brent Oleson says his office received a report Friday morning of an accidental shooting.

He says investigators responded to a home in Kildare. He says the initial investigation reveals that two people were handling a firearm when it accidentally went off.

Oleson says foul play is not suspected. The shooting remains under investigation.

The Wisconsin State Journal says the woman's name hasn't been released pending notification of relatives.
