Top log rollers in the state will be making their way to La Crosse to go head to head in a tough competition.
The La Crosse log rolling competition will be held this Saturday.
Athletes as young as five to adult will participate in the competition that puts quick footwork and balance to the ultimate test.
This is the 6th annual La Crosse log rolling open.
The top three winners will receive trophies.
Organizer and log roller Abby Hoeschler say log rolling has a long and enduring history.
Hoeschler says, "I think log rolling is a great part of our history. It's the great outdoor American sport and it's now becoming a new American sport at YMCA's and outdoor pools."
Here's a look at the event's detail.
The open will be this Saturday, July 12th at Memorial Pool on 19th Street and Campbell Road in La Crosse.
It will begin at nine in the morning and go until four in the afternoon.
Admission is free.
The log rollers are coming from all over the state including Hayward, and Madison... As well as La Crosse and Onalaska.
