LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW) - Hundreds of college students ran around the U-W-La Crosse campus in their underwear last night.
The "stripping down" served a purpose. The event is the 2nd annual "Almost Naked" mile. It's a one mile run/walk around campus to raise money for Special Olympics.
Last year the semi-streakers raised $500 for breast cancer research, and set a goal of $750 this year.
Dorm resident Eric Olson organized the "fun and frisky" run and says they plan to "take it all off" again next year. He says they easily raised more than the goal they set for the run.
