JEFFERSON, Wis. (AP) - Two people are dead after a shooting early Sunday outside bar in downtown Jefferson, which is near Madison in south-central Wisconsin.
The Daily Jefferson County Union reports the victims are a woman from outside the county and an unidentified man.
The woman died at Fort Memorial Hospital in Fort Atkinson and the Jefferson County coroner's office reports the man died Sunday morning at a Milwaukee hospital.
Coroner Patrick Theder says neither victim is being identified, pending notification of their families.
Jefferson police say the shooting happened in the parking lot outside the Rock Bottom Saloon and Eatery on Milwaukee Street shortly after 1 a.m. A 24-year-old man has been taken into custody.
The investigation continues.
