La Crosse, WI (WXOW) - An Emerson Elementary school teacher is in the spot light, after receiving a national scholarship.
The attention stems from a problem she used to spend her life trying to hide, Crohn's disease.
She will receive a 10-thousand dollar scholarship along with a promotional video.
This is the fourth year the UCB pharmaceutical organization has presented scholarships to people living beyond the boundaries of Crohn's disease throughout the country.
More than a million dollars worth of grants have helped 105 winners in the last four years.
