La Crosse, WISCONSIN (WXOW)- Longfellow Middle School was a bit more crowded on Friday.
That is because students could spend the day with their families.
Grandparents and parents spent the afternoon participating in the school's annual grandparents day.
Longfellow's Principal says it's a great opportunity for the students to connect with people from a different generation.
Guests could eat lunch with their grandchildren and then attend a variety of programs that featured the band, orchestra and choir performances.
