
LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The La Crosse Police Department is notifying north side residents of the release of a convicted sex offender into the neighborhood.
29-year-old Jason A. Grassman will live at the Attic Correctional facility at 809 Rose St. in La Crosse starting March 16.
In 1999, he was convicted of sexually assaulting 13 and 14 year old females, according to a release from La Crosse Police. The release also says he was convicted of attempted escape and criminal damage to property.
He does have special conditions for his release into the community. They are:
Special Supervision Conditions: No unsupervised contact with minors; no taverns/bars/liquor stores; no contact with victim; no consumption of alcohol or drugs. Comply with standard sex offender rules and cooperate with the electronic monitoring program. Face–to-face contact with law enforcement required, comply with all requirements and lifetime registrant of WI Sex Offender Registration Program. He is not allowed to be within two blocks of where children tend to congregate: i.e., parks, schools, libraries, daycares, etc.
