GURNEE, Ill. (AP) - Police in the northern Chicago suburb of Gurnee say they have issued an arrest warrant for a paroled Wisconsin child molester accused in the abduction, robbery and sexual assault of a woman he allegedly grabbed as she was leaving an outlet mall last month.
Gurnee Police Cmdr. Jay Patrick said Tuesday that 37-year-old Richard Gallatin has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual assault, aggravated kidnapping and robbery. Patrick says Gallatin's last known address was in Pleasant Prairie, Wis.
Gallatin was listed Tuesday as not complying with the lifetime requirement to provide information for Wisconsin's sex offender registry.
Police continued hunting Tuesday for Gallatin, who is known to frequent the Kenosha area. Police say he also has a history in Cook County and contacts in Arizona and northwest Indiana.
