La Crosse, WI (WXOW) - The need is constant and the reward from giving is instant and the Red Cross hopes some familiar faces in the community will encourage you to donate blood.
The celebrity blood drive is going on through Thursday at our Saviors Lutheran Church on Division Street in La Crosse.
Famous community faces like former mayors and tv and radio personalities are helping out.
Thursday News Nineteen's Amy DuPont and Nick Grunseth pitched in a helping hand to help those making a contribution.
Volunteer coordinator LaVonne Zietelow said, "It is a wonderful organization that makes a difference in so many peoples lives, I mean one pint of blood will potentially help three people, that's a lot of help for people."
LaVonne has been working with the Red Cross and volunteering for 35 years.
