SPARTA, Wisconsin (WXOW) - A fire heavily damages a home in Sparta late Monday night.
According to Sparta Fire Chief Scott Lindemann, the department was called shortly after 10pm to 319 W. Wisconsin Street. When they arrived, they saw heavy smoke coming from the building.
The two people inside, Mark and Carol Bradley, had already escaped from the fire.
Lindemann says firefighters were at the home for six hours. The fire spread into the walls, floor, and roof of the home.
He adds that early investigation shows the fire was electrical in nature.
No one was injured due to the fire.
