Lindsey Hayes co-anchors Daybreak and is a special correspondent for Northland Adventures.
Lindsey joined WXOW News 19 in April of 2010 as a multimedia journalist and was then, promoted to weekend anchor working within the news and sports departments.
In January, Lindsey was made co-anchor of our Daybreak program and can be seen every weekday morning from 5-7am.
Lindsey also is a special correspondent for Northland Adventures and loves telling stories about the outdoors.
Lindsey is a Wisconsin native; she grew up on a hobby farm in Lyndon Station, Wisconsin. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Winona State University (WSU). She also played Division II collegiate soccer at Southwest Minnesota State University for three seasons before transferring to WSU.
In college, Lindsey interned at FOX Sports North in Minneapolis, Minnesota. She served as a production intern, but soon advanced to a freelance sideline reporter for FSNORTH, a Qwest Wild and Twins Live emcee, and an assistant for Vikings Weekly. She also freelanced for the BigTenNetwork.com as a sideline reporter and a color commentator for the University of Minnesota Gophers women's basketball and hockey programs.
Along with journalism, Lindsey enjoys spending time with her family and friends and stays active with basketball, running, dancing, hunting, fishing, and soccer.
She is also a die-hard Packer, Badger, and Brewer fan. While a farm girl at heart, Lindsey also enjoys world travels and meeting new people.
