Heather Armstrong co-anchors the Six and Ten pm reports Monday through Friday. She came to News 19 in November of 2010.
Heather is a member of the Society of Professional Journalists, national and local chapter.
Before coming to Wisconsin Heather worked as a Reporter in Bakersfield, California at KBAK/Fox where she did special investigations. She was a Reporter/Host/Producer in Los Angeles for ESTV3 and CityTV where she won various awards but most recently a 2010 Emmy Award for the PSA, "Kids Finance" which she produced/directed. Heather also reported and anchored for LA Now, Metro Motion and LA Pet Spot, a series profiling organizations throughout Los Angeles fighting for the plight of animals.
Heather graduated from St. Francis University with a degree in English/Communications. Throughout her career, she interned at WTAJ-TV, CBS News, CNN, CBS Sports and Fox Sports in Los Angeles, where she was later hired.
Heather volunteers regularly with her dogs to provide pet therapy to seniors at a local nursing home.
Her motto is "Everyone has a story."
