Heather Armstrong started at News 19 in November of 2010.
She co-anchors the weekday 6 & 10 PM newscasts.
Before coming to News 19, Heather was a Reporter in Los Angeles and at KBAK/Fox in Bakersfield, CA. She has won various awards and a 2010 Emmy for the PSA, "Kids Finance" which she produced/directed.
Heather grew up in New York City and after college worked on Wall Street before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a career in News.
She interned at CNN, CBS, CBS Sports and Fox Sports Net where she was later hired.
Heather is an active volunteer in the community and can often be seen taking her 3 dogs to nursing homes. She is also an advocate for people with disabilities since her brother has a rare disorder called Prader Willie Syndrome.
Heather believes "everyone has a story."
