LA CROSSE, WI (WXOW) - The Minnesota and Wisconsin Departments of Transportation are working on the final design phase for the I-90 bridge near Dresbach.
The plan consists of building a new bridge over the Mississippi river about 50 feet north of the existing bridge.
Crews will also build a new interchange on the Minnesota side to provide free flowing movements from Highway 61 and I-90.
WXOW previously reported an incorrect cost of the project; the actual cost will be around 200 million dollars, which will be funded by Wisconsin, Minnesota, and the federal government.
Construction will begin in 2013.
