LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)-- Western Technical College is stepping up their green efforts though campus-wide sustainability.
From environmental stewardship, to social responsibility, students are not only studying their field, they are also developing and improving green routines within their majors.
"From recycling, to waste elimination, to planting rain garden and building energy efficient homes, our students are taking on the responsibility to be sustainable," said Bill Brendel, the Western Technical College Dean of Agriculture, Apprenticeship, and Technology.
Western Technical College prides itself in seven core abilities; one being sustainability.
Whether it be working with organic farms, planting rain gardens, or creating recycling efforts, each of westerns 65 degrees have course work devoted to going green.
