MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - The Minnesota Vikings and Wells Fargo have reached a preliminary agreement to resolve a conflict surrounding a development near the team's new stadium. Vikings vice president of stadium development Lester Bagley says the agreement was reached on Saturday night. It establishes parameters for roof signage on a new Wells Fargo tower close to the new Vikings stadium in downtown Minneapolis.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - LeBron James had 21 points, eight assists and 14 boards for his first double-digit rebounding game of the season, leading the Miami Heat to a 103-82 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves Saturday night. Kevin Martin scored 19 points for the Timberwolves. But they sorely missed Kevin Love's presence on the glass. Love missed the game to be with his family following the death of his grandmother Wednesday night.
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Andre Hollins led six Golden Gophers in double figures with 18 points as Minnesota defeated New Orleans 80-65 Saturday afternoon. Center Mo Walker, making his first start of the season, scored 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Gophers at home.
FARGO, N.D. (AP) - Brock Jensen threw a touchdown and had a long run for another in the second half as two-time defending national champion North Dakota State pulled away from Furman for a 38-7 win in the second round of the FCS playoffs yesterday afternoon. The Bison will host Coastal Carolina next weekend.
