La Crosse, WI (WXOW) - Brighter lights, reflective lettering and more accessible storage compartments, those are just a few of the new safety features Tri-State Ambulance says make their new vehicles even safer for staff and patients.
Tri-State recently purchased two new ambulances.
The most noticeable improvement is the reflective lettering on the back of the vehicle.
It's designed to make the ambulances more visible.
Paramedics can also access equipment from the back of the vehicle, instead of the side, keeping staff away from traffic.
Tri-State Operations Supervisor Jay Clark said, "These provide us not only light to see what we're doing but also allows us to be in a safe area where there is a lot of reflectivity."
Because of manufacture updates, the new vehicles actually cost *less* than the older models.
