COON VALLEY, Wisconsin (WXOW) -- The first annual Coon Creek Trout Festival kicked off Saturday morning in Coon Valley.
The festival received an $8,500 grant from Wisconsin's Department of Tourism.
The free outdoor festival features live music, a car show, as well as fishing instruction, with the goal of getting kids interested in fishing.
The environmentally focused event was hosted by Coulee Region Trout Unlimited and the Coon Valley Business Association.
