LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW)-- Saturday's hot and humid temperatures mixed with the heat from the Jay Street attic fire made conditions tough on firefighters.
Crews have been hard at work for more than 12 hours Saturday and Tri state ambulances was on the scene to help keep firefighters hydrated and check for heat exhaustion.
Tri-State said the firefighters heavy suits and excessive work load made it extremely important to take breaks and rehydrate.
No serious injuries or health concerns were reported.
