Koula trial moved once again

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The trial for the West Salem man accused of killing his parents is moving once again.

Judge Scott Horne has now set the trial for Eric Koula to run December 5-21.  He's charged with two counts of First Degree Intentional Homicide in the deaths of Dennis and Merna Koula on May 21, 2010 in their Barre Mills home.  Prosecutors contend that he shot his parents in order to collect inheritance money to solve his financial problems.

This is the third date set for Koula's trial.  The first was for a July 5th start.  That was later changed to September 26th.  On Monday, Judge Horne ordered that the trial now begin on December 5th.

Koula remains jailed on a $1 Million cash bond.
