LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Police say another man is in custody for his connection to the body found near Red Cloud Park Thursday afternoon.
Police arrested 59-year-old Patrick Valiquette around 8:00 p.m. Friday night. He's currently being held in the La Crosse County Jail on suspicion of hiding a corpse.
Valiquette has a criminal history that includes theft, OWI, and drug possession convictions dating back to 1991.
This latest arrest is part of an ongoing investigation.
Police found the body of an adult male about 2:45 Thursday afternoon in the area of 700 Oak Street following an investigation that began earlier that morning. Officers later arrested three individuals in connection with the death.
They're not yet releasing the identity of the victim, while they work to notify his family.
Prosecutors have yet to formally charge Valiquette or the three others arrested. Thirty-seven-year-old Kristina Lorenz, 56-year-old Robert Moss, and 25-year-old Cain Moss appeared in court Friday for bond hearings.
All three are expected back in court August 12th. They too are being held on suspicion of hiding a corpse.
In court on Friday, the district attorney's office shared some details about what might have happened. Prosecutors say Cain, Moss, and Lorenz told police the man died after using drugs with them.
They decided to get rid of the body in order to avoid prosecution for giving him the drugs that led to his death. The report says Robert Moss helped his son dispose of the body.
The La Crosse Tribune is also reporting that Andrew Seekamp provided the drugs that Cain, Lorenz, and the victim used.
Police are still looking for Seekamp.
They believe the 19-year-old has been staying in the La Crosse area but also has ties to the Sparta area.
Police say Seekamp may have information relevant to the ongoing investigation. Anyone with information regarding the case should call police at 608-785-5962.
