MADISON (WKOW) -- People marched in solidarity for a Wisconsin native who was injured at an occupy protest in Oakland, California.
The Occupy Madison march began at Noon at the Capitol steps and ended at UW.
Scott Olsen is an Onalaska native.
He served two tours of duty in Iraq.
The marine is now in stable condition after Oakland Police fired a tear gas canister that hit his head.
"He's a brother we're all in this together we're all part of the occupy movement he's part of the 99%," said David Soumis, Veterans for Peace, Chapter 25.
Solidarity marches were also planned in Oakland, Chicago and New York Saturday.
