Doyle sponsors meeting on powerline

LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Those for and against a proposed high voltage powerline that would reach into La Crosse will present their arguments to the public at a meeting Monday.

State Representative Steve Doyle is hosting a public meeting on the CapX2020 project Monday evening at Holmen High School from 6-730pm.  Anyone interested in learning more about the project is invited to attend says Doyle.

Presentations include representatives from Xcel Energy and Dairyland Power Cooperative.  The Citizens Energy Task Force will speak in opposition to the transmission line.

Following the presentations, the public will be able to ask questions about the project.
