Winona, Minnesota (WXOW) - Some of you may be familiar with the Minnesota Marine Art Museum, but for those of you who are not, it has some great art that you might not expect to see in the Coulee Region.

The museum houses a collection of art inspired by water. This includes anything from paintings and photography to sculpture and woodwork. They also offer personalized tours and a variety of education driven experiences. But the surprising part is that they house pieces from artists such as Monet, Van Gogh, Matisse, O'Keeffe and many more, proving that you don't have to travel too far to enjoy world class art.

Jon Swanson, Curator of Collections and Exhibitions told us, "It gives people in a smaller, rural, river area a chance to really stand in front of some great art."

The museum is open year round and changes exhibits about ever six weeks. So, there is always something new to enjoy. For more information please visit their website at: www.minnesotamarineart.org
