La Crosse, WI (WXOW) - A fire late Wednesday at an apartment building on the southside of La Crosse causes damage, but no injuries.
The La Crosse Fire Department received the call around 11:00pm.
Fire alarms sounded when smoke entered several units at Bluff View Apartments on Mormon Coulee Road.
Fire crews used a thermal imaging camera to find a fire that was hidden in a wall of a first floor apartment.
The wall was opened up and the fire was extinguished.
The building was being evacuated as the fire department arrived. There is minor fire and smoke damage to the building according to the department. No injuries were reported.
The cause is still under investigation.
