ONALASKA, WI (WXOW)--Great Rivers United Way announced a new campaign record this year. $2,015,570.39 is the total amount raised this year.
That's 10 dollars more than last year, but President James Falvey and Campaign Chair Sam Van Riper said every little bit counts.
Van Riper thanks the community for making the commitment to children born with special needs, those struggling with addiction and mental illness as well as families who have no where else to turn--as United Way helps them all.
"Through your philanthropy, you have helped ensure the people of this region will not only survive, but thrive. On behalf of all those who will never get to thank you personally, I offer my heartfelt gratitude to you. Thank you," said Campaign Chair, Sam Van Riper.
The money raised by the Great Rivers United Way is shared with their 28 partner agencies that serve a variety community needs.
