WESTBY, Wisconsin (WXOW) - People in Westby are ready for their signature ski jump event that's known throughout the world.
One ski jumper from Canada is participating this year. Sixteen-year old Nathaniel Mah has been jumping all over the world for 10 years.
Mah says he's always enjoyed the sport. "I've played hockey, played soccer; but just something about ski jumping where everyone is just so much more in it, for the gold. And, it's the only sport, really, that you can get up to five seconds of flying," says Mah.
The ski jump runs through Saturday. Buttons are available at the gate for $20. To get to the event from La Crosse, Take Highway 14 through Coon Valley. Turn left on County Road P. Stay on County Road P until you reach the ski hill.
