TOMAH, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Tomah Police investigators are trying to determine how a man missing man for nearly a year ended up in a motel room and how long he'd been there.
According to Lt. Ron Waddell, 51-year-old Kurt H. Lieburn was reported missing by his family last March.
On February 3rd, workers at the Park Motel entered a room that hadn't been rented for what is described as an extended period of time to do maintenance work. There they found Lieburn's body.
Investigators are trying to determine how long Lieburn was living in the motel room or how long he'd been in the room after his death. Waddell says in a news release that it appears Lieburn was at the motel without the knowledge of the motel's workers.
An autopsy was performed on Lieburn. Investigators are waiting on the results.
