DES MOINES, Iowa - Thousands in Iowa went hog wild for bacon this weekend.
The 5th annual Blue Ribbon Bacon Festival, deemed "Baconpacaplypse Now," sold out in a matter of minutes and drew the biggest crowd to date: 4,700 people.
The event showcased more than 20 restaurants and 10 different suppliers from the Midwest.
Bacon wasn't just for breakfast at the festival, it was on the menu for lunch, dinner, even desert.
The fun is for a good cause.
This year's Bacon Fest will donate about $10,000 back to the community.
