WXOW News 19 La Crosse, WI – News, Weather and Sports |Sparta Referendum Passes

Sparta, WI (WXOW)-- A referendum that will provide $750,000 to Sparta area schools over the next three years, passed Tuesday with a vote of 1039 to 572.

The money will help finance learning centers that provide homework assistance and tutoring to low income students. The referendum will also finance technology upgrades and maintenance issues.

The referendum is a continuation of an existing five-year referendum.
