SPARTA/TOMAH, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Voters in Monroe County pared down the number of candidates who will advance to the April 3rd election.
There were two County Board races-District 1 and District 22.
Incumbent Carol Las came out on top in District 1 with 126 votes to second place finisher Bill Olson's 106. Dan Hinkle was third with 54 votes.
The two challengers in District 22 defeated incumbent Richard Yarrington. Dean Peterson had 99 votes, while Wayne Kling advanced with 79 votes. Yarrington had 64.
Tomah School District voters chose four people to move on to the April contest. In order, Jerry Fushianes, Katherine Moseley, Kelly Hodgson Kline, and Brian Hennessey will try for two seats on the school board. Scott Wilcox and Wayne Kling did not advance.
