Onalaska and Wisconsin Rapids, WISCONSIN (WXOW) It will be an all MVC Sectional Final thanks to big wins for Onalaska and the Sparta/West Salem co-op Tuesday night.
Scott Sibik made 34 saves and Jake Taylor scored the go ahead goal to lift Onalaska to a 3-1 win over Baraboo/Portage in a Sectional Semifinal at the Omni Center.
Onalaska has now won 17 of their last 18.
Sparta/West Salem turned in a miraculous comeback in Wisconsin Rapids, beating the Red Raiders 5-4 in overtime.
The Vipers scored twice in the final two minutes of regulation, including a short-handed goal.
The Erik Burdick scored the game winner just 1:12 into the overtime to send the Vipers to the Sectional Final.
Onalaska and Sparta/WS will meet Friday at 7pm in Viroqua with the winner advancing to State.
