Semi accident in Arcadia claims driver's life

Arcadia, WI (WXOW) - We now know the name of the man killed when his semi truck crashed into a building Thursday afternoon in Arcadia.

Police say the man is 62-year-old William Rosenberger of Loyal, WI.

Authorities say Rosenberger was coming into Arcadia on Highway 93 when he failed to stop at an intersection.

He avoided hitting any cars at the four-way stop but went through the stop sign, hit an embankment, crashed into a cement block construction storage shed and rolled over.

Police say Rosenberger died at a hospital.

No one else was injured.

The crash is under investigation.

Arcadia, WI (WXOW) - One man was killed when his semi truck crashed into a building Thursday afternoon in Arcadia.

  Police say the man was coming into town on Highway 93 when he failed to stop at an intersection.  The victim is an elderly man. Police haven't yet released his identity.

   No one in the building was injured. The Trempealeau County Sheriffs Department says the driver was coming down a hill going north on Highway 93 near the 4-way stop at Highway 95. No word on why the driver didn't stop. He avoided cars in the intersection, but went through a stop sign, hit an embankment and rolled over.

The Trempealeau County Sheriff's Department says the driver died at a Whitehall hospital. His name will be released Friday.
