Sparta, Wisconsin (WXOW) - Earlier today, Rick Santorum made a visit to Macdonald and Owen Lumber Company in Sparta to talk about health care.
The lumber company employs about 20 people at their Sparta location and just under 50 at their Pennsylvania location. The owner, David Twite, talked to the crowd about how he believes Santorum will help people like him create jobs and grow business. Santorum told the crowd about the reactions he's been hearing in the business community to Obama's health care plan.
Rick Santorum said, "I can't tell you the number of people that have told me that they will either reduce the size of their employees if they're a company that's anywhere near fifty employees they'll reduce the size of their company's employment so they'll be under fifty employees so they won't have to comply with Obama care. Others who have said they will simply get out of business."
The Wisconsin presidential primary is April 3rd.
