Wis. board to set recall ballots

MADISON, Wis. (AP) - Wisconsin election officials are set to finalize the candidates in this spring's recall elections.

The Government Accountability Board is scheduled to meet Tuesday in Madison to certify ballot line-ups. The board also is expected to take up a complaint that Republicans running as phony Democrats to force primaries committed election fraud.

Democrats have forced Gov. Scott Walker and five other Republicans into recalls as payback for passing a law that eliminated public workers' union rights. The GAB has set a primary for May 8 and a general election for June 5.

Six Republicans are running as Democrats to force a primary in every race. The move ensures no GOP incumbent would face a general election that day, when Democratic voters will be out en masse to select their gubernatorial challenger.
