LA CROSSE, Wisconsin (WXOW) - The man wanted by police for breaking a large window at a downtown business turns himself in.
La Crosse Police were looking for the man after the vandalism at Three Rivers Outdoors at the corner of 4th and Main in La Crosse on March 24th.
Moments after the incident, a witness got video of the suspect walking away from the building. Police then gave the video and pictures of the suspect to the media asking for the public's help in finding the man.
After the video was made public, Ryan Lucchesi called the owner of the building and confessed to breaking the window after a night of celebrating his 21st birthday. Lucchesi told the owner breaking the window was a mistake and that he'd pay for its repair.
The owner then contacted police, who in turn issued a $240 damage to property citation to Lucchesi.
The ticket is in addition to the nearly $1,300 to repair the window.
Lucchesi told police he came forward because of a guilty conscience and the release of the video.
