It all starts with a phone call.
Those phone calls turn into stories, and every morning, those stories get posted on our shoot schedule for the day. When I get my assignment, I load my gear, and head out.
From there, there's no guessing where my day as an intern will lead. From behind the camera, I've recorded a wide range of things: kangaroos, a circus, a police dog attack-I even helped cover a fire.
Alongside the camera, I interview all sorts of people, from a human cannonball to a county sheriff to a boat builder to our state governor.
After plenty of shooting and interviewing, I come back and edit the footage for the evening news programs. As I edit, I write the stories for the anchors to deliver.
Every day brings a new challenge and a new story. I don't know where my own story will lead, but my Quinternship has given me many skills I will use along the way.
