Vinehout releases "new economic game plan"

MADISON (WKOW ) – State Senator and Democratic candidate for governor Kathleen Vinehout released her new economic game plan at the state capitol on Tuesday.

Vinehout held a small, green plant at the podium as she talked about growing the nation's economy.

"If the soil is rich, the economy will grow," Vinehout said. "Now, Republican leaders have been very busy removing the nutrients and then wondering why the crop isn't what it used to be. Their solution? Keep cutting back."

Vinehout says if she's elected governor, she will make education and job growth her top priorities.  Vinehout says she will work to find ways to restore money that has been cut from education, bring back teachers that have been laid off, restore classes that have been eliminated and return to smaller class sizes.
