Eau Claire; Cedar Falls, Iowa (WQOW) -- Sunday is the application deadline for the UW-Eau Claire men's basketball coaching position.  

UWEC athletic director Scott Kilgallon won't tally up the total number of applicants until after the deadline is passed, but he tells News 18 Sports Director Bob Bradovich, "there's no shortage of interest in the job."  Kilgallon says the goal is to have a new coach hired by the end of the spring semester.

 

The job is open after Kyle Green announced his resignation earlier this month.  Green is going back to the University of Northern Iowa men's basketball program as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.  It's Green's third stint at UNI.  He was an assistant there from 2001-03, as well as 2006-11.
